Create a Survey from Scratch

Creating a survey from scratch gives you complete control over every aspect of your survey. Start with a blank canvas and build exactly what you need.

When to Use This Option

Choose “Start from Scratch” when you:

  • Have specific questions already planned
  • Need a custom survey structure
  • Want full control over the design
  • Don’t need a template as a starting point

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Navigate to Create Survey

  1. Log in to your SurveyReflex dashboard
  2. Click the “Create Survey” button in the top right corner

Step 2: Select “Start from Scratch”

On the survey creation options page, you’ll see four options:

  • Start from Scratch - Create a blank survey
  • Use a Template
  • Clone Existing Survey
  • Create with AI

Click “Start from Scratch” to continue.

Step 3: Enter Survey Details

You’ll be prompted to enter basic information:

  1. Survey Title - Give your survey a descriptive name
  2. Survey Description (optional) - Add context for respondents

Step 4: Choose Team (Optional)

If you belong to any teams, you can choose to:

  • Create the survey under your Personal account
  • Create the survey under a Team account

Select the appropriate option and click “Create Survey”.

Step 5: Start Building

After creating the survey, you’ll be taken to the Survey Builder where you can:

  • Add questions
  • Configure settings
  • Customize branding
  • Set up logic
