Account Settings

Manage your SurveyReflex account settings, update your profile, and configure your preferences.

Accessing Account Settings

  1. Click your profile icon in the top right
  2. Select “Settings” from the dropdown

Profile Settings

Personal Information

Update your basic information:

Changing Your Name

  1. Go to Profile section
  2. Edit the Display Name field
  3. Click “Save Changes”

Changing Your Email

  1. Go to Profile section
  2. Click “Change Email”
  3. Enter new email address
  4. Verify via confirmation email
  5. Log in with new email

Note: You’ll need to verify your new email before the change takes effect.

Profile Photo

Add or change your profile picture:

  1. Click on the profile photo area
  2. Upload an image file
  3. Crop if needed
  4. Save changes

Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF (max 5MB)

Password & Security

Changing Password

  1. Go to Security section
  2. Click “Change Password”
  3. Enter current password
  4. Enter new password
  5. Confirm new password
  6. Click “Update Password”

Password Requirements

  • Minimum 8 characters
  • Mix of letters and numbers
  • At least one special character recommended

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Add extra security to your account:

  1. Go to Security section
  2. Click “Enable 2FA”
  3. Scan QR code with authenticator app
  4. Enter verification code
  5. Save backup codes

Session Management

View and manage active sessions:

  • See devices where you’re logged in
  • Log out of other sessions
  • View last activity time

Notification Settings

Email Notifications

Configure what emails you receive:

Notification Frequency

Choose how often to receive emails:

  • Immediate - As events happen
  • Daily Digest - Once per day summary
  • Weekly Digest - Weekly summary

Disabling Notifications

To reduce emails:

  1. Uncheck notification types you don’t need
  2. Switch to digest mode
  3. Or disable all non-essential emails

Preferences

Language

Set your preferred language:

  1. Go to Preferences section
  2. Select language from dropdown
  3. Interface updates immediately

Timezone

Set your timezone for accurate timestamps:

  1. Go to Preferences section
  2. Select your timezone
  3. All dates/times adjust accordingly

Date Format

Choose how dates display:

  • MM/DD/YYYY (US)
  • DD/MM/YYYY (International)
  • YYYY-MM-DD (ISO)

Connected Accounts

Social Logins

Manage connected social accounts:

  • Google
  • Microsoft
  • LinkedIn

Connecting an Account

  1. Go to Connected Accounts
  2. Click “Connect” next to provider
  3. Authorize the connection
  4. Account is linked

Disconnecting

  1. Find the connected account
  2. Click “Disconnect”
  3. Confirm the action

Note: Ensure you have another login method before disconnecting.

Data & Privacy

Download Your Data

Export all your SurveyReflex data:

  1. Go to Privacy section
  2. Click “Download My Data”
  3. Wait for export to process
  4. Download the file

Includes:

  • Account information
  • All surveys
  • All responses
  • Settings and preferences

Delete Account

Permanently delete your account:

  1. Go to Privacy section
  2. Click “Delete Account”
  3. Read the warnings carefully
  4. Enter your password
  5. Confirm deletion

Warning: Account deletion is permanent. All surveys, responses, and data will be deleted and cannot be recovered.

What Gets Deleted

  • Your account and profile
  • All surveys you created
  • All response data
  • Team memberships (you’ll be removed)
  • Billing information

API Access

API Keys

For developers integrating with SurveyReflex:

  1. Go to API section
  2. Click “Generate API Key”
  3. Copy and secure your key
  4. Use in your applications

  • View active API keys
  • Revoke compromised keys
  • Set key permissions

Troubleshooting

Can’t Change Email

  • Verify you have access to current email
  • Check new email isn’t already registered
  • Contact support if issues persist

Password Reset Not Working

  • Check spam/junk folder
  • Request a new reset link
  • Verify email address is correct

2FA Locked Out

  • Use backup codes if available
  • Contact support for account recovery
  • Have identity verification ready
